Women Support Center in the Village of Strazhets was founded in 2005 by mothers of multiple children as a split-off of the Woman program of NGOs Center in Razgrad. The group, which represents mainly women of Roma and Turkish ethnicities, aims to provide community support for women and advocate for women’s rights.

The Women Support Centre in the village of Strazhets enjoys high public credibility among the people of Strazhets and other small towns of the municipality. The specific capacity and the profile of the organization put it in a position as a reliable representative of prevailing attitudes among the community.

Projects and reports

In the last years the Centre focuses its work in strengthening its own capacity and implements programs for protection of women's rights, prevention of domestic violence and provides various services for them and their families.
